"American Horror Story" star Evan Peters has confirmed that he would indeed come back to the upcoming "X-Men: Apocalypse" movie.

In a recent exclusive interview with I Am Rogue, Peters confirmed that he will reprise his role as Quicksilver in the movie though he remained tight-lipped about the movie's script and plot.

"I think so, yes. I assume it as well, but I don't know what I'm supposed to say and not supposed to say...I haven't seen a script," he was quoted as saying. When asked about the production and his schedule, the actor said he's not yet sure. "No. We'll see. I think...I don't know what I can say and what I can't say. All I can say is that I have not seen a script yet."

Peters earlier played the Quicksilver role in the recent "X-Men: Days of Future Past" movie. Cinema Blend noted that despite Peters' brief appearance in the movie, he has helped a lot in the film's success. It said that his role in helping Magneto out of prison wherein he had to use his super speed was one of the movie's highlights.

Cinema Blend in another report said that the Nightcrawler role was first seen on the big screen in the "X2: X-Men United" movie. It was then played by British actor Alan Cumming. But the actor did not come back in the recent "X-Men: Days of Future Past" movie.

Aside from Peter Evans and Kodi Smit-McPhee, several other young actors have earlier been included in the "X-Men: Apocalypse" cast list. They are "Game of Thrones" actress Sophie Turner as Jean Grey; "Tree of Life" actor Tye Sheridan as Cyclops; and Alexandra Shipp as Storm.

According to Screen Rant, the storyline of "X-Men: Apocalypse" is expected to be set in the 1980s, following the "traditions" of the previous movies "X-Men: First Class" and "X-Men: Days of Future Past" which were set in the 1960s and 1970s, respectively. The news outlet also revealed that the cerebro helmet, the amplifier used by Professor X to detect and locate mutants around the globe, will be upgraded, citing the photo teasers posted by Singer on Instagram.

"X-Men: Apocalypse" is set to hit theaters in May next year.
