Oscars 2015 Nominations, Predictions & News: Who Should Win? [Poll]

The biggest awards show of the season will be the Oscars, and with Neil Patrick Harris hosting this year, it is bound to be full of laughs and surprises, particularly because he promised to top last year's epic selfie with daytime talk show host Ellen DeGeneres.

He told Ellen on her show last Wednesday as reported by the Los Angeles Times, "Here's my biggest concern: Your selfie shot was the most spectacular successful thing... It worked out so well and it's this horrible dark cloud above my head now. How do you beat the selfie that broke the Internet?"

He then promised to "try to do something better."

NPH also admitted to be struggling for content for the event, but the more important thing is the awards ceremony itself.

Predicted Winner: Birdman, as it's already been on top of the list for the Producer's Guild and Screen Actors Guild, and the creativity behind the story is going to win it the Oscars as well.

Eddie Redmayne from "The Theory of Everything"

Predicted Winner: Michael Keaton because despite the very tough choices, Eddie Redmayne, who is the front-liner for the award, may have hurt his chances by being in a bad film (Jupiter Ascending).

Marion Cotillard from "Two Days, One Night"
Felicity Jones from "The Theory of Everything"
Julianne Moore from "Still Alice"
Rosamund Pike from "Gone Girl"
Reese Witherspoon from "Wild"

Predicted Winner: Julianne Moore because of her riveting role as a professor with early-onset Alzheimer's, and because she's long overdue for an award with four nominations and no wins so far.

Edward Norton from "Birdman"
Mark Ruffalo from "Foxcatcher"
JK Simmons from "Whiplash"

Predicted Winner: JK Simmons for his stunning performance as a drum instructor from jazz hell that will have you beating to the right tempo.

Patricia Arquette from "Boyhood"
Laura Dern from "Wild"
Keira Knightley from "The Imitation Game"
Emma Stone from "Birdman"
Meryl Streep from "Into the Woods"

Predicted Winner: Patricia Arquette for her heart-breaking scene where she sends her son, Mason, off to college. She has also won every award prior to the Academy Awards for her on-point and moving performance, so who's to say she can't win the Oscar now?
