Aside from her music, Rihanna is known for her style and fashion, and she also has a lot of close relationships with the top designers in the industry. In a new cover from AnOther Magazine, RiRi was shown in a stunning black and white cover sporting a mask by the late Alexander McQueen.

According to the Daily Mail, Rihanna's cover shoot is a tribute to the late designer in a series that documented his life's legacy in the past, present, and future - as depicted by the stars that he dressed, in fashion, film, and the music industry.

AnOther Magazine's official website noted that the pieces worn by the star included footwear from McQueen's 1997 Givenchy collection, with heels inspired from Chopine shoes; one-of-a-kind harness with military coat and pinstripe wool trousers made especially for her and the Magazine, by Sarah Burton, McQueen's creative director.

Style.com notes that AnOther's issue is in line with the Alexander McQueen exhibit at London's Victoria and Albert Museum for March, called "Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty." With its entire spring issue dedicated to the designer, his rare pieces from the 90's, which were thought to be lost and never photographed, are worked into the glossy feature pages.

The designer's oeuvre is featured in three covers: one for "Savage Beauty" with Stella Lucia, "Elegant Simplicity" with Lea Seydoux, and "Dark Glamour" with Rihanna.

The beautiful cover is only the beginning of Rihanna's shoot with AnOther Magazine: the inside pages boasts of provocative photos of the star channeling her inner Anastasia Steele in what The Daily Beast said to be a custom-made leather bodice and suit. She later posted on her Instagram page one of the most provocative images from the shoot, with cropped pants, cheetah-accented jacket, and an exposed breast (photo now removed).

The singer, of course, is no stranger to pushing the boundaries for Instagram's no-nudity policy. Last year, she posted photos from her spread in French Magazine Lui, which were removed by the photo-sharing service soon after.

In other Rihanna-related news, the singer is set to release a new album, called "R8" later this year. The album, according to Billboard, will be executive produced by Kanye West (as announced in the 2015 Grammy Awards), whom she collaborated with in a single with Paul McCartney, titled "FourFiveSeconds."

You can see more of the shoot when the issue hits newsstands on February 19.

What do you think about AnOther Magazine's photo series as a tribute to the late designer?
