'The Last: Naruto The Movie' U.S. Release Date, Trailer & News: All You Need to Know Before Feb. 20

The film "The Last: Naruto the Movie" is set to premiere in the United States in February 2015.

SaiyanIsland reported that the upcoming movie will be directed by Tsuneo Kobayashi and written by Masashi Kishimoto. The official launch date in Japan was on December 6, 2014 while American viewers will get to see the film on February 20, 2015. The movie will be in Japanese with English subtitles, to cater to both Naruto purists and new audiences.

ElevenArts wrote that "The Last: Naruto the Movie" will be shown in theatres in 22 cities. The show times are subject to change at the theatres' discretion. Some shows have already been sold out.

"The Last: Naruto the Movie" will be the 10th film in the series, also dubbed as "Naruto Movie 10" and "Naruto Shippuden Movie 7". It is being promoted as Chapter 699.5, with the time setting between the final two chapters of Naruto Manga. The new film will move on to a new direction based on the Naruto Universe, in a report by VCPost. It will be the first installment of the "Naruto New Era Project".

The story of "The Last" focuses on a new threat that can kill all the people on Earth using the moon. A new enemy will attempt to use the moon to destroy the Earth and the entire Shinoba World. Naruto's relationship with Hinata will also be a subject in the film. The two will show their true feelings for each other while trying to stop the evil that will destroy the entire human race. The love angle in the movie between the two provides a good balance to all the action that will be featured in the movie.

In the Manga series, Naruto claimed his title as Hokage, setting the start of the "Naruto New Era Project", created by Kishimoto Masashi. As the next chapter unravels, the same VCPost report revealed that another movie might follow, featuring Naruto's son Boruto or Bolt and his sister, Himawari. The daughter of Sasuke and Sakura, Salada, might also make an appearance. The following film is said to be released in August 2015. According to Naruto fans, the old nemesis Orochimaru may be back to battle the young ninjas.

There will be a series of light novels written by Akira Higashiyama for "Naruto New Era Project", set to be launched in 2015. Hatake Kakashi will be the first character shown in the new series. The novels will be published in Jump J Books by Shueisha.
