Mahomies are getting restless, and it's not because Austin Mahone's posted another cool selfie of his handsome self or a slick new video. It's mostly because the singing heartthrob has yet to release his first ever full-length album, which has been delayed for what seems like ages for the "Mmm Yeah" singer's fans.
The said album was supposed to be released in 2014 but was later given a 2015 release date.
"Back in 2013, he teased a new sound for his official debut, and we're sure he's made even more progress in the last two years," J-14 noted. "He's already released two EPs, 'Extended Play' and 'The Secret,' but we're anxious to hear his full-length album."
What's with the delay, Austin? Is everything still alright?
"Trust me theres nobody in this world more impatient than me and I wanna get this album out already. Real Mahomies will be patient with me :)" his tweet about the issue said.
When a fan tweeted about the delay of his album, saying that this can seriously hurt his career, he responded with a series of tweets, as noted by MTV.
"I understand where you're coming from because I feel the same exact way. But at the same time I don't wanna rush it and then put out a single that doesn't do well. Because you're only as big as your last record. So I wanna take time to make sure that I have some incredible, next level, monster smashes that I can release and feel good about. And believe me I've got some crazy songs that are potential next singles but i want to be sure. I'm going to LA in Feb. To finish my first album once and for all. But trust me when I drop it... you won't be disappointed :)"
Now isn't that one long explanation? And isn't that Twitter user one lucky fan?
Perhaps Austin got challenged by that fan's comment, because about 2 days after his lengthy Twitter explanation, he teased a song clip on his Instagram, MTV said.
Could this be a preview of what to expect from his upcoming album?
"As fish swim in a tank, Austin's voice meanders soulfully over a mysterious track," MTV said. "His voice echoes back to him along with a reverby guitar twang, as if he were playing the song in the water itself."
