The developers from Square Enix have something up their sleeves and it's called "Project Code Z," VG247 reported.

The video game company stared teasing gamers and fans about it on Wednesday, creating a Twitter account @sqez_msz and sending out tweets in English, German and Japanese about the mysterious "Project Code Z."

The tweet written in English said, "It was cold outside and so was my mind."

At the time of writing, the account has less than ten tweets so people are wondering what the words could be referring to. Many are trying to guess as to what possible game Square Enix is planning to release, whether it was a sequel, an original, a remake or more. All that has been reported so far was that it was meant to be a game for the PlayStation 4, according to Game Spot.

Not only that, but Square Enix also launched a teaser website for "Project Code Z," and those who check it out will be able to see the big letter Z changing its appearance through a cycling flash video, according to Cinema Blend.

One location looked like a lush forest showing off a bright green foliage. Another is a cavern or an underground cave with what looked like stairs. The last seems to be a photo of the same cave, but the image focuses on a lot of crystals.

Rumors have it that it was possible that the game that will be unveiled is the new console RPG that was mentioned in November by company president Yosuke Matsuda, according to GameSpot.

Some are pointing out the crystals as a clue, which seemed to be a throwback to "Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles," or "Secret of Mana," or possibly even Capcom's "Deep Down," according to Cinema Blend.

Fans and gamers need not worry and bite their nails in anticipation though, because Square Enix is planning to reveal it soon, specifically on Jan. 31 at the upcoming Tokaigi 2015 gaming event which will run throughout the weekend.

Square Enix is also running a livestream via Niconico so that people can see and hear the unveiling for themselves. Their announcements will run from 11 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. JST (9 p.m. to 3:45 a.m. EST). The "Project Code Z" will be revealed at the end of the panel from 4:45 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. JST (2:45 a.m. to 3:45 a.m. EST), according to Anime News Network.

Square Enix is a video game developing, publishing and distribution company based in Shinjuku, Japan. It is home to some of the most well-known video game franchises in the industry, such as the "Final Fantasy" series, "Kingdom Hearts" series, "Dragon Quest" series and more.
