PlayStation has officially announced the free games that will be released in February for their PlayStation Plus members, with titles such as "Transistor," "Apotheon," "Thief" and more, PlayStation Life reported.

PlayStation announced the news on their official website, introducing the titles that will be released to the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita starting Feb. 3 in the United States and Feb. 4 in Europe.

For the PlayStation 3, the free titles are "Yakuza 4" and "Thief." "Yakuza 4" will have the gamer traveling through the underground world of Tokyo, while in "Thief," the gamer plays as Master Thief Garrett and has to sneak around and try to steal even the most inaccessible of treasures.

As an extra treat for fans, PlayStation Europe also launched a new trailer for "Yakuza 4."

As for the PlayStation 4, free for PS Plus members is the sci-fi, strategy, action game "Transistor" which features a futuristic story and a hero wielding a weapon of unknown origins. Also free is the Greek mythology-inspired "Apotheon," where humans have been abandoned by the Gods of Olympus and left to travel Mount Olympus to find a way to ensure mankind's survival.

Lastly, for the PlayStation Vita, is "Kick & Fennick," where Kick meets the flying robot Fennick, who saves him from a guard robot.

Also arriving for free is the "Rogue Legacy," which is available in all three consoles. The gamer travels through a castle trying to uncover the secret of his cursed heritage.

The previously offered PlayStation free games will be leaving the Instant Game Collection when the new free games are launched. These are "The Swapper," "inFamous First Light," "Prototype 2," "Woah Dave!" "DuckTales Remastered" and "Duke Nukem: 3D Megaton Edition." Gamers have until Feb. 3 to get these games, according to Euro Gamer.

Not only that, but PlayStation is also encouraging gamers to sign up. New members get a 14-day trial with PlayStation Plus for free, according to PC Mag.

Once the 14 days are up, new members have to pay a fee of $10 a month if they want to continue their membership. They could also sign up for a three-month subscription for a discounted fee of $18, or if they want go for a year's subscription for a discounted price of $50.

The announcement of PlayStation Plus' latest free games follows Xbox Live's announcement of its free February games on Wednesday, with titles such as "It Draws a Red Box," "Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons" and "Sniper Elite V2" for the Xbox One and Xbox 360.
