It seems like the LG G4 not be introduced at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in March 2015.

Phone Arena wrote that an LG executive confirmed in a Korean publication that the G4 will not be presented at the 2015 MWC.

He said, "We rolled out the G3 in May last year so we do not plan to unveil the G4 at this year's Mobile World Congress and [will] spend more time perfecting the new phone."

The LG G4 is the successor of the highly successful G3, which is said to be the best device that the company has offered yet. The upcoming phone will likely feature a 20.7 MP camera, with an increased correction angle of 0.7 to stabilize shaky videos and allow users to capture quick photos. The previous model had a 13 MP camera and 0.5 correction angle. The G4 will also present a better stylus than its predecessor. There are reports that a "G Pen" might be available as part of the package or as an independent accessory. The G4 will feature the fingerprint scanner and might also include an eye or retina scanner. LG has integrated finger scanning in its recent handsets but will be the first to use retina scanning if the plan pushes through. Furthermore, Gazelle reported that the LG G4 might feature a 4K display.

In spring, Qualcomm is expected to unveil the Snapdragon 810 so the new phone may feature the new chipset too.

AndroidOrigin said that the LG G4 will be a strong competitor against other flagship companies that are also slated to launch in 2015. Other specs to expect in the upcoming phone include a 5.3" Quad HD display, the octa-core chipset and 4GB RAM. According to TechRadar, the G4 will most likely run on the Android 5.0 Lollipop. Since LG recently introduced a super slim 0.7mm bezel around its display, the G4's screen might measure 5.3 inches, which is actually smaller than the 5.5-inch G3. The slimmer bezel will improve the aesthetics of the new phone. There are also rumors that the G4 might be bendable, considering how LG is preparing for a line of bendable phones in 2015.

Over 10 million LG G3 units were sold in 2014, making it the most successful LG Android flagship smartphone. The recent upgrades in the G4 will put it at par with other highly favored smartphones such as the Sony Xperia, Galaxy S6 and Galaxy Note 4.

May 2015 is the likely month of the release, although the company has yet to confirm the exact date.
