TLC is trying to gather funds for their final album through their Kickstarter and only one day into the fan-funded campaign, Katy Perry donated $5,000 upfront to help Chilli and T-Boz, MTV reported.

"TLC is BACK to make our FINAL ALBUM with YOU!" the duo's Kickstarter page read. "Be a part of TLC history!"

"While major labels offer artists multimillion dollar recording and marketing budgets, they don't often give artists complete control of their own music," the duo wrote. "It is ESSENTIAL that we create our final album completely on our own terms, without any restrictions, with YOU."

The campaign has been going pretty well for the "Waterfalls" duo. As of this writing, there are only 27 days to go, but they already garnered over $190,000 -- thousands more than the $150,000 goal -- thanks to their 1,800 backers, one of whom is Perry.

The "Dark Horse" singer donated $5,000 to show her support and the duo was nothing if not appreciative.

Chilli sent out a tweet to the singer on Wednesday, saying, "Wow @katyperry...thanks so much for pledging!" along with kisses and hearts emoji.

T-Boz also tweeted, "A BIG Special THANK YOU 2 @katyperry for her pledge to our #Kickstarter Campaign! Your awesome!"

Thanks to Perry's generosity, she will get the chance to have a slumber party with T-Boz and Chilli, a onesie from the duo's fashion archives, according to US Weekly. The Kickstarter campaign also offers the vinyl album, an exclusive remix, digital album, a TLC scrapbook, fantail, dance school and a list of the duo's favorite songs.

The upcoming final album will be TLC's first album in 13 years and they are vocally grateful for all the support.

The two also released a statement to PEOPLE to thank their supporters, saying, "Our hearts are overflowing with gratitude for our fans for all of their amazing support. We feel so blessed to know that not only do our fans love us, but they believe in us."

They also thanked artists who supported them, such as Perry, Dev Hynes, Soulja Boy, Bette Midler, New Kids on the Block and more.

The two also tweeted, "Thank you SO MUCH to everyone who donated to our campaign!! Xx We are thrilled to have so much love and support from fans! It means so much!"

They are also dedicating their work to the late Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes, who was a member of the girl group before she passed away in 2002 due to a car accident.

T-Boz and Chilli wrote on their Kickstarter page, "This final album will be the first studio album by the two of us. Of course, Lisa's spirit will always be present in our music. That will never change."
