Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Update: Galaxy S3 Still Only Has It In Poland; Other Countries Still Waiting

As Apple users enjoy (or dislike) their new iOS 6 upgrade, Android users are still left wondering why it takes them so long to get an update to their devices. But the latest Android operating system, Jelly Bean, is beginning to hit smartphones and tablets as we speak, and the Samsung Galaxy S3. 

Website YouMobile has kept an updated list of the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update on Galaxy S3s. The good news - is that it already started rolling out last week. The bad news - there doesn't seem to be much of a difference since then.

Poland seems to be the only country so far that has received an Android Jelly Bean update for the Galaxy S3. The update list is constantly changed, and at times, the list showed that certain countries received the upgrade when they hadn't. In any case, Poland has been the only country to enjoy the Galaxy S3 through an official Android Jelly Bean update, despite other reports.

It was revealed earlier that Samsung was hard at work bringing Jelly Bean to its flagship phones: the Galaxy S3, the Galaxy S2, the Galaxy Nexus, and the Galaxy Note. Samsung then came out to list 16 devices that would receive the Jelly Bean update. Included were the Samsung Galaxy S2 and the Galaxy Note. The Galaxy Nexus and Galaxy S3 have already started receiving Jelly Bean updates, and the Galaxy Note's sequel, the Galaxy Note 2, will ship with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean pre-installed out of the box. 

Android 4.1 Jelly Bean introduces Google's Project Butter, an interface that should get rid of the jarring switches between screens in Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and offer more customizable pages for users.
