Are you ready to see more violent explosions and battles that doesn't seem to end? Then here's the two and a half minute official theatrical teaser trailer of the sequel of the post-apocalyptic movie franchise "Mad Max."

The trailer has earned over 610,000 views and over 7,000 likes as of press time.

The trailer starts with "Mad Max" Rockatansky saying, "Everybody's gone out of their mind." Most of the scenes -- car chases and crashes -- were taken at a desert. It added that the place is "a world without hope, without law, and without mercy."

"Haunted by his turbulent past, Mad Max believes the best way to survive is to wander alone. Nevertheless, he becomes swept up with a group fleeing across the Wasteland in a War Rig driven by an elite Imperator, Furiosa. They are escaping a Citadel tyrannized by the Immortan Joe, from whom something irreplaceable has been taken. Enraged, the Warlord marshals all his gangs and pursues the rebels ruthlessly in the high-octane Road War that follows," a short synopsis for the film was posted on YouTube and on the film's Facebook page.

"The Dark Knight Rises" actor Tom Hardy stars in this fourth installment movie as Mad Max Rockatansky. The role was famously played by veteran actor Mel Gibson. Meanwhile, "Monster" and "Prometheus" actress Charlize Theron plays the role of the Imperator, Furiosa. The movie also stars Nicholas Hoult who is known for the British TV series "Skins" and movie "X-Men: Days of Future Past." He plays the role of Nux in this movie. Other actors and actresses included in the film are Hugh Keays-Byrne as Immortan Joe, Nathan Jones as Rictus Erectus. Keays-Byrne is known for his role in the movies "Mad Max" and "Sleeping Beauty" while Jones is known for the movie "Conan the Barbarian."

Also included in the cast list are Zoë Kravitz, known for "Divergent," as Toast; Riley Keough, known for "Magic Mike," as Capable; Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, known for "Transformers: Dark of the Moon," as Splendid; supermodel Abbey Lee as The Dag; and Courtney Eaton as Fragile. They are collectively known as "The Wives."

Also in the cast list are Josh Helman as Slit, Jennifer Hagan as Miss Giddy, and performer iOTA as Coma-Doof Warrior.

Other well-known Australian actors are also in the list like John Howard and Richard Carter, supermodel Megan Gale, Angus Sampson, Joy Smithers, Gillian Jones, Melissa Jaffer, and Melita Jurisic.

George Miller, known for "Happy Feet" is the movie director while the screenplay was written by Brendan McCarthy and Nico Lathouris. Miller also acts as one of the movie producers, along with Doug Mitchell and P.J. Voeten. Listed as executive producers are Iain Smith, Graham Burke and Bruce Berman.

Rolling Stone, citing the Sydney Morning Herald, earlier reported that Miller revealed during the Comic-Con in July that the film production started in 2012. He also divulged the reason why he pushed for such movie. "I love chase movies; I think they're the purest form of cinema...That's where the film language started. I wanted to make one long, extended chase, and see what we could pick up about the characters along the way," it also quoted him as saying.

The movie is presented by Warner Bros. Pictures in association with Village Roadshow Pictures. "Mad Max: Fury Road" is set to be released on May 15 next year.
