It seems that Samsung users really have to wait a little longer before they can get a taste of the new Android L 5.0 Lollipop update.

This came after reports said that the new Lollipop will soon roll out on several Samsung devices early next year.

A very recent report from Android Origin said that at least four of the "biggest" Samsung smartphones -- Samsung Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note 3, and Galaxy S5 LTE-A -- are expected to get the new Android update by 2015. However, it has never been confirmed by the Korean electronics giant.

A certain "Reuters tech industry correspondent" named Vincent Se Young Lee was cited as the source of the information in the said report.

Vincent Se Young Lee said in a Twitter post dated December 5 that the roll out of the new Android update on the Samsung Galaxy S5 in Korea begins Friday.

To quote him, "#Samsung Electronics says #Lollipop update for the Galaxy S5 in #Korea starts on Friday, notes that the upgrade began in Poland yesterday."

This confirms earlier reports published by Sam Mobile saying that the update has finally rolled out to Samsung Galaxy S5 phones in Poland.

This also suggests the prediction of CNET that the Lollipop update will soon hit the South Korean region shortly after it rolled out in Poland. It also noted that the same also happened to LG G3 users. Polish LG G3 smartphones were the first ones to get a bite of the Lollipop update. This was eventually followed by South Korean LG G3 users weeks later.

Vincent Se Young Lee's tweet was followed by another one which said, "#Samsung says #Lollipop updates for other devices like the Note 4, Galaxy S5 LTE-A, Note 3 and Galaxy S4 coming in early 2015."

Android Origin said that the date given was not clear but it suggested that the release date for each devices might be different for each one. It also did not indicate which countries or regions are the first ones to get it.

According to Sam Mobile, the "usual" carrier certification might have caused the delay in the roll out process of the update among Samsung Galaxy S5 users in the United States.

Earlier this week, we also saw the new Lollipop update roll out on the original Moto G in India, Android Authority reported.

The new Lollipop update boasts of its new features which include the new user interface Material Design, new fonts, new lockscreen, improved notifications, priority mode, and Smart Lock, Christian Today noted. Other phones that have previously received the Lollipop update include Moto X, Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 7, and Nexus 10.
