Two of the most sought-after colorways of the Air Jordan 6 Retro are scheduled to release in 2014. The first one, dubbed the "Carmines", was released during the first half of the year. The second colorway, known as the Air Jordan 6 Retro "Black/Infrared 23", is scheduled to launch on November 28.

Nike.com reported that the Air Jordan 6 Retro "Black/Infrared 23", an original colorway, will release on Friday at 8:00 a.m. EST on Nike.com, Foot Locker.com, Flight Shop and House of Hoops by Foot Locker. There is a one pair limit per customer but the shoes will be available on a full family size run. The Jordan 6 will retail at $185. The girl sizes will retail at $130 while the preschool and toddler sizes will retail at $80 and $60 respectively. Related merchandise such as caps, shorts, jackets and t-shirts will also be available on Nike.com.

The Air Jordan 6 Retro "Black/Infrared 23" is one of the most popular colorways in the line, worn by Michael Jordan during his championship run with the Chicago Bulls in 1991, where he won his first NBA Championship.

The Jordan 6 Black/Infrared 23 features a black nubuck upper, leather tongue and icy outsoles. Compared to the last time it was released as part of the 2010 "Infrared Pack", Sole Collector wrote that the infrared color in the upcoming version is more accurate and the 3M reflective underlay is now available.

The basketball shoe is predominantly black, with hints of infrared on the midsole, the heel tab and the shoelace plastic holder. The Jumpman logo on the diamond-shaped fabric over the laces is also infrared. There are perforations throughout the upper, providing good ventilation, while the back of the midsole also features the Air Max unit, to provide added comfort and soft landings. The insoles are black, as well as portions of the outsole. There is another black Jumpman logo stitched on the back of the shoe. On the outsole, another infrared Jumpman is present. Parts of the icy outsole are visible on the midsole of the shoe also.

According to Sneaker News, the Air Jordan 6 Retro "Black/Infrared 23" is arguably the best Air Jordan 6 release of the year. Potential buyers can avail of a chance to purchase a pair at Foot Locker outlets. Footlocker.com conducted a raffle-type procedure to provide potential buyers a chance to purchase a pair in their size.
