Christian Bale may have played the Caped Crusader in all three of Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight" films, but that doesn't mean that he's ready to give up his role as Gotham City's mysterious billionaire vigilante.

Bale told Empire Magazine via Comic Book Movie of his reaction when he realized that he can no longer be Batman, saying, "I've got to admit initially, even though I felt that it was the right time to stop, there was always a bit of me going, 'Oh, go on ... Let's do another.' So when I heard there was someone else doing it, there was a moment where I just stopped and stared into nothing for half an hour."

However, one word stood out in regards to someone else playing the Caped Crusader: Jealous.

Yes, even big stars like Bale can get jealous of fellow actors. He added, "The fact that I'm jealous of someone else playing Batman, I think I should have gotten over it by now."

Being Batman clearly meant a lot to Bale, and he has connected with the character. He also said about the new film, "I haven't spoken with Ben, but I emailed him offering bits of advice that I learned the hard way. I would imagine he is doing everything he can to avoid anything that I did."

However, his offers for advice may have been for naught, as Ben told Screenrant months ago that there will be differences between his character and Bale's Batman. He told the website, "I don't want to give away too much, but the idea for the new Batman is to redefine him in a way that doesn't compete with the Bale and Chris Nolan Batman but still exists within the Batman canon. It will be an older and wiser version, particularly as he relates to Henry Cavill's Superman character."

The Guardian notes that the film, which is set to be released in March 2016, will see Ben Affleck as the new Batman, with Henry Cavill as Superman, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman.

And while Bale can't be the Caped Crusader any longer, he is keeping himself busy with more projects. E! News noted that he will be appearing as Moses in "Exodus" and has recently signed on to "The Jungle Book: Origins" alongside Benedict Cumberbatch, Naomie Harris, and Cate Blanchett.

Do you think Christian Bale should be jealous of Ben Affleck getting the role that he played for three movies?
