The UFC matches are hardly ever tame, but the November 15 match between Jessica Eye and Leslie Smith in Mexico City was so brutal, it should not be allowed in the ring.

According to the Hollywood Life, a punch from Jessica violently split Leslie's ear open, and instead of stopping the match, the fighter threw punch after punch at the brutal injury, playing at it as Leslie's weakness.

Website MMAMania noted that Jessica punched Leslie in her cauliflower ear, which exploded in a stream of blood. Leslie's ear was checked by the doctors and she was eventually allowed to go for the second round, which Jessica took to an advantage by connecting with Leslie's already damaged ear again with a couple of short rights from a close range that opened the injury again.

Eventually, referee Herb Dean called the match off when the ear was left flapping down declaring Jessica the winner with a TKO victory in their bantamweight battle.

Jessica told Yahoo!, "When I connected and saw her ear blow up, that became my main target. "I was going to keep hitting it until they stopped the fight or it fell off. My goal is to be the first girl in the UFC to get a knockout win. I know I'll do it. Now I've climbed another rung on the ladder, and I'll look around and see what my options are, but I'm almost to the top."

Despite UFC matches being known to get violent, many are glad that the fight was ordered to a stop, despite Leslie's insistence on continuing. However, the defeated fighter took time to thank her fans after the fight, writing on Sqor, "I was pretty mad in the cage. I saw some pictures afterward and I appreciate the doctors looking out for me. I guess. I should've adjusted to protect my ear before the doctors had to stop it ... Thank you to my team and my coaches at El Nino Training Center for getting me ready. Thank you to all the fight fans. I'll do better next time."

With the result of the competition, Bleacher Report notes that the defeat has seen Leslie with just 2-4 in her contests, having onle a 1-2 ledger since her debut last April. Jessica, on the other hand, has earned her first victory in 13 months.

However, did her victory against Leslie Smith cross the line between competitions to inhumane actions? What do you think?
