In a report by Bad Left Hook, Top Rank and Manny Pacquiao have agreed to a rematch clause if American Chris Algieri wins against the Filipino eight-division champion in their Macau bout on November 22.

Heading into the fight, Pacquiao is the odds-on favorite to win, but it is quite customary for champions to have rematch clauses to serve as protection just in case Algieri scores an upset.

Pacquiao said in a report by Manila Times, "I really smell a knockout victory this time. It's been a long, long time since I scored a knockout victory." He added, "Algieri is tough but I'm really determined to knock him out this time but let's see. When Roach arrives here, it will be a more serious training. I'm really excited about this fight."

Earlier in July 2014, Newsday.com reported that Chris Algieri's fight purse is over $1.5 million and includes an upside of pay-per-view sales. Joe DeGuardia, Algieri's promoter, also said that Algieri will not lose his 140-pound title, should Pacquiao win the bout.

DeGuardia said in the same Newsday report, "The deal is done. We spent the day together and hammered it out. Chris is extremely happy with the overall package and pleased with the total compensation and the way the deal is structured."

"It's a great situation. I feel like my friend and 'family member' has gotten his just reward. It's the fruits of all his work at the Paramount and on Long Island," De Guardia said.

The fight will be Algieri's big break. He previously fought and won against Russian Ruslan Provodnikov on June 14, 2014, bringing home a meager $100,000 from that fight, Algieri believes that he is ready to contend with the biggest stars in the sport, which also equates to bigger purses.

In the same report by Manila Times, WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao is guaranteed a fight purse of $25 million on the November 22 bout at the Cotai Arena in Venetian Hotel, Macau. Pacquiao will earn more from pay-per-view sales.

Eric Pineda, Pacquiao's business manager, told Manila Times, "It's the usual pay of $25 million US dollars. It's not below the $20 million mark, I'm sure. The Top Rank Promotion has guaranteed that purse already. Manny is ready to fight in November and he's excited about the preparation."
