Harry Styles of the English-Irish boy band One Direction does not take offense to the fact that Taylor Swift wrote about him and their past relationship in a song.

"We always say that we write from personal experience. Everyone does, so it would be hypocritical for us to be like, 'Oh you can't write about us,' and she's really good. So, they are good songs. So, I'm lucky in that sense," says Harry Styles in an ABC News report.

ABC News recalled that Taylor Swift and Harry Styles were a couple back in 2012. When the two pop stars parted ways, Taylor Swift, the songwriter that she is, wrote music about their big breakup.

It was widely rumored that Swift's song titled "I Knew You Were Trouble," which is part of her 2012 album called "Red," alluded to the 20-year-old Styles. The song eventually became a hit, notes the report.

But the 24-year-old Swift wrote more than one song about her failed relationship with Styles.

On November 9, during a Google Hangout hosted by One Direction, Harry Styles was asked by documentary director and friend Ben Winston what he feels being the speculative subjects of Taylor Swift's new songs "Out of the Woods," and "Style," notes US Magazine. The songs in question belong to Taylor Swift's latest album titled "1989."

In an interview with Rolling Stones magazine in September, Swift admitted that much of the subject of the songs on her latest album was based on her past relationship with the One Direction member.

In a September 8 article that appeared in Pop Crush, Taylor apparently hinted during the Rolling Stones interview that "I Wish You Were Here," "All You Had to Do Was Stay," "Style," and "Out of the Woods" were all about Harry.

"We should have just titled 'Style' with 'I'm Not Even Sorry'," says Swift. The song tells about a guy with a slick black hair. The final title is a no-brainer, notes Pop Crush.

"Out of the Woods" dwells on anxiety-riddled relationship, according to US Magazine. The song tells about the time when the couple were admitted to an Emergency Room of a hospital after a snowmobile accident that the two have kept a secret until now, notes Pop Crush.

Asked how her relationship with Styles was, Swift was quoted by Rolling Stone during the interview as saying: "Every day was a struggle. Forget making plans for life. We were just trying to make it to next week."

Despite Swift writing songs about their past relationship, the two are now good friends. And Harry Styles was quite mature enough not to be offended at all by it, points out ABC News.
