Colin Kaepernick and the San Francisco 49ers are going head-to-head against Tony Romo and the Dallas Cowboys on September 7, Sunday.

The game will be played on the Cowboys' home field at the AT&T Stadium but experts predict that the 49ers will emerge victorious. In an article by SB Nation, the 49ers start the NFL season as a 4.5-point road favorite. The team led the NFL with six victories on the road. In their last 11 games, they had a record of 10-1 SU and 9-1-1 ATS. Overall, the 49ers are 13-3 SU in their last 16 games. Dallas, on the other hand, is only 1-7 SU in their last eight games.
The Cowboys have been losing much at home. For five years, they failed to garner a winning season. They currently have a 5-3 record at AT&T Stadium.
San Francisco offers a formidable defense and is expected to be a top contender in the playoffs. The Cowboys, however, are currently going through setbacks. The Dallas defense has weakened in 2013, and will suffer more after losing DeMarcus Ware to the Denver Broncos.
According to NFL.com, the Cowboys have the advantage when it comes to garnering offensive yards and passing. However, the 49ers have the upper hand in terms of rushing yards per game. San Francisco also has more reliable players at their disposal, like Carlos Hyde and Stevie Johnson.
In terms of offense, Dallas has quarterback Tony Romo and wide receiver Dez Bryant to rely on. However, the tough San Francisco defense is expected to contain the two effectively. Comparing the two teams' quarterbacks, Tony Romo is still more experienced and efficient than Kaepernick, with more touchdowns and yards. Romo, however, has to stay healthy after his back surgery.
In a report by International Business Times, Jason Garrett, head coach of the Cowboys said, "The last couple weeks we've seen Tony really be himself. He's moved around in practice very spontaneously. He's made a lot of throws. He's taken hits in games. He's come back from all that stuff." He added, "He's worked very hard to get himself to the point where he's 100 percent with his back. It's going to be a work in progress for him, as it would be with anyone coming off an injury."
Experts predict the game to conclude in favor of San Francisco, 30-23.
