Despite the fact that "Game of Thrones" have long been written by George RR Martin, fans of the television series adaptation are still in the dark as to what Season 5 would bring once it returns on the small screen next year. The events in Season 4 was an indication that producers of the show are not hesitant to change things up and had introduced several elements unheard of in the fictional Westeros universe, Screencrush said.

So it was a shock that Kistian Nairn, who plays the lovable bear of a companion named Hodor in the series, said that he would not be seen in Season 5 at all. It could be recalled that in the previous season, Hodor, Bran (Isaac Hempstead-Wright) and Meera Reed (Ellie Kendrick) had finally reached the North to meet the "Three-Eyed Raven."

Hodor told the Australian Broadcast Corporation in an interview, "We're not actually in Season Five, by the way. We have a season off. We have a year's hiatus...Solely because, I imagine, our storyline is up to the end of the books."

Slashfilm supported Nairn's statement, considering that Martin has yet to publish another sequel to the "A Song of Ice and Fire" series. The site explained, "Seasons 3 and 4 of Game of Thrones covered Book 3 of George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire, more or less, but it also pulled in certain elements from Books 4 and 5. The fifth book being A Dance with Dragons, the last ASOIAF novel released to date. Bran and Hodor's Season 4 storyline in particular relied heavily on material from A Dance With Dragons, and even added some scenes invented just for the TV series. There's not much of their arc left to adapt at this point."

On the other hand, Nairn will not be left idle or out of work either. The Verge said that the actor is also set to do a DJ tour based from his hit television series. Labeled "rave of Thrones," Nairn would be hosting dancing parties all over Australia, and will require attendees to dress up like those characters at Westeros.

Meanwhile, film production for "Game of Thrones" in Croatia had resumed. Shooting had stopped when a local church in Dubrovnik has banned actress Lena Headey, who plays the deliciously wicked Queen Cersei Lannister, to film a naked scene as demanded in the series, Daily Mail said. A compromise have been reached between parties, which involved setting a reconstruction of a church set way out of the said church's path for Headey to shoot her nude scene.
