Taylor Swift recently announced that her new album titled "1989" will be released on Oct. 27 via Big Machine.

Swift revealed in a video that she spent nearly two years to finish the album. During the show, the "22" singer also introduced her new single "Shake It Off," which is a song that she wrote together with famous hit-makers Max Martin and Johan Schuster.

According to Swift's official website, the new album is now available for pre-order in three different packages - Digital Album, Deluxe Album and Album Merch Pack. Details of each package are listed below:

The 24-year-old, who explained that the album title is about her year of birth, also added in an interview with Capital FM that the new album features 1980s-inspired sounds.

"One of the things you can expect is that I'm really trying to challenge myself in every single way possible to make music that doesn't sound like music I've made before," Swift said. "When you get into the album there are a lot of late eighties sounds and vocal styling and production elements."

Swift is confident that her fans will love her new album, pointing out that she is proud of how they came up with a "sonically cohesive" song lineup.

"We were really just playing around with this album and didn't limit ourselves," Swift said. "What ended up happening was we made an album that really sounds like an album, it's really sonically cohesive, and I'm really proud of it."

While fans are eager to know more about her new album, Swift said that she is not planning to give more details until it hits the market. Taylor's friend, Ed Sheeran, has listened to "1989," but Swift said that she also expects her BFF to keep details about the album private.

"Ed has heard a lot of the songs on the album but he hadn't heard the first single, because the time that I was going to play it for him it was the day that 'Sing' had just come out'. I said, 'no, we're not making this about my music today, it's all about 'Sing' today', so now he's finally heard it alongside the rest of the world," Swift said. "He has heard a lot of the new album, he's got the inside scoop. I doubt he'll tell though!"
