'Watch Dogs' Mods & Cheats: Final PC Graphics Mod Released

The latest version of the graphic modification of Ubisoft's "Watch Dogs" has been released and we can all thank Federico Rojas for that. Rojas, who goes by the nickname "TheWorse", has released the final version of his mod that was originally aimed to return the current version of the game for the PC to the original demo glory back when it first debuted in E3 in 2012.

In his blog post, Rojas explained about his latest mod, "This is the last release of my modification. I did my best to improve graphics and performance as much as I could without degrading the quality."

Polygon said that TheWorse's latest release comes in two flavours, "one with a high-resolution texture pack from another modder MaLDo and one without." The site also added that "users of the Guru3D forums, which is host to a handful of lengthy threads related to Rojas' work on the Windows PC version of Watch Dogs, are posting comparison pics of the latest version with adjustments of their own." 

Gamingbolt summarizes the final version of TheWorse for "Watch Dogs" as follows, "The final version includes several changes. There have been adjustments made to the rain, speed and intensity along with an increased depth of field difference for aiming, sprinting and normal movement. Storm blooms have changed and colour grading settings have also been adjusted."

Gamingbolt said that the modding community, a group of online individuals who have taken to modify certain aspects of video games to their liking, has helped "Watch Dogs" gamers who had expected Ubisoft to release the PC version of the video game in high-quality visuals. TheWorse's versions has been the most popular, especially when he released a version in June showcasing his skill of uncovering the the bloom lighting effects from "Watch Dogs'" E3 2012 demo, Polygon said. Rojas has since focused on improving "Watch Dogs" after that, tweaking the game's graphics, enabling bokeh depth of field, shadows for car headlights, better quality rain effects and more.

Although the PC version visuals of "Watch Dogs" has initially disappointed fans, Ubisoft is still laughing itself away to the bank as it celebrates its fifth week as a chart topper despite a 12% decrease in weekly sales, Digital Spy reported. "FIFA 14" and "Call of Duty: Ghosts" trails at second and third places respectively, although the latter is expected to rise more considering its jump from 6th place in the all-format gaming chart last week.
