'Little Big Planet 3' Release Date & News: PS4 Game Drops in November

Something exciting is bound to emerge at E3 2014 - that's a fact proven by the said expo in previous years. And now, as early as the first day, the annual gaming industry exhibit has yielded an update that's sure to have Sony PlayStation fans clapping - the release of "LittleBigPlanet 3" for PS4.

"Media Molecule surprised a capacity crowd at Sony's E3 2014 press conference when they revelaed 'LittleBigPlanet 3,'" Shack News reported. "Sackboy returns and he'll also bring along a group of new friends. Oddsock, Toggle, and Swoop will all make their 'LBP' debut and each will have their own unique abilities."

The said game is "currently slated for November, which will be just in time for the holidays," Tech Radar noted.

So, what to expect from the third iteration of LBP?

"Flying is an obvious new trick, but there's also a the ability to wall jump and a larger character that can shove obstacles out of the way and generally hurl his girth around the level," Engadget observed. "The idea is that multiple characters can cooperate to extend the world of Little Big Planet in interesting ways."

A bonus is that you can play the levels you've crafted in the first two versions of the game - and with "automatically upscaled graphics." Sony said that "all 8.7 million user levels from the first two games will be available to download," as noted by Joystiq. Now, how cool is that?

As mentioned, Oddsock will be appearing in LBP 3 for the first time. It's also worth mentioning that he's much faster than Sackboy. As such, he can use this super attribute to power objects in the new game.

Toggle is described as "the biggest of Sackboy's new friends," according to Tech Radar. As expected, he is the strongest character and is handy at pushing heavy blocks. However, don't be fooled by his size - he can be shrunk so he fits through tiny gaps that the usual characters could not.

Swoop is yet another new character and has the unique ability to fly, which is a really helpful attribute. "He can lift up platforms from above so other players can pass through obstacles," the tech news site added.

With these new characters, players will be encouraged to create a new strategy in order to hurdle obstacles and solve challenges in the game, making LBP 3 something worth looking forward to.
