"Space Jam" is one of the most successful basketball movies of all time, starring Michael Jordan and featuring the Looney Tunes cast. After almost two decades, news circulated that a "Space Jam 2" by Warner Brothers was in the works. It was only natural for LeBron James to be the star of the sequel, being the most dominant player in the NBA after Jordan.

However, LeBron dismissed that he was already bound to play the lead role in the new animated movie. While there are still agreements and contracts left to be arranged and signed, in a report by USA Today, NBA and movie fans presented other alternative NBA stars who could play the lead role or also join James in the cast. In "Space Jam", other NBA stars also had roles such as Patrick Ewing, Muggsy Bogues, Shawn Bradley, Charles Barkley and Larry Johnson.

Some of the possible names include Roy Hibbert, who already appeared in a number of TV shows. Giannis Antentokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks, Kevin Love of the Minnesota Timberwolves, Anthony Davis of New Orleans, and James Harden may also be hired for key roles in the new film. Davis and Harden may be cast because of their unique facial features, which make them easily identifiable, should the MonStars strike again.

In a report by Sports Illustrated, fans also wish to see Tim Duncan, Spencer Hawes of the Cleveland Cavaliers, DeMarcus Cousins of the Sacramento Kings, Pao Gasol of the Los Angeles Lakers, Kendrick Perkins of the OKC Thunder, and Chris Bosh of the Miami Heat form an animated team.

Should the movie push through, LeBron James is expected to team up again with Bugs Bunny. Kevin Hart is also expected to act as James' sidekick. Kevin Hart is not entirely new to the NBA. He recently picked up his third MVP at the NBA All-Star Weekend in February 2014. James and Hart has a new film called "Ballers". The movie will be LeBron's debut in the film industry.
