Golf fans are looking forward to this week's Players Championship 2014. But what can they expect from this tournament?

The Players Championship will commence on May 8 and end on May 11, with the tournament to be held at 103 Championship Way, Ponte Vedra Beach in Florida, PGA Tour writes.

Tickets will include soda, beer, wine and local dishes prepared within the venue. Tickets bought on May 7, 2014 are worth $75 while Thursday tickets on May 8 are $100. Fans can also avail of the Michelob ULTRA Blue Room Tickets. Prices will not include applicable taxes and fees.

The daily grounds practice round ticket costs $15 only on May 6 and $25 on May 7. From May 8 to 11, daily grounds tickets are available at $58 while the weekly grounds ticket is $150, exclusive of applicable fees and taxes. The weekly turn ticket is $499, the weekly turn plus clubhouse ticket is $599 while the weekly clubhouse ticket is $399. Family plan tickets are also available.

Carpool parking passes are also available for four or more in a single vehicle. Preferred parking throughout the tournament is available at $50 per day. General parking on May 8 and 11 is $30. On May 9 and 10, general parking fee is $35.

The winning purse totals $10,000,000 while the winning share is worth $1.8 million. 600 FedExCup Points can also be earned by players, in a report by SB Nation.

Some of the players who joined the tournament include Rory McIlroy, Martin Kaymer, Graeme McDowell, Bubba Watson and Adam Scott, among others. McIlroy said, "The TPC (Sawgrass) is growing on me, it is. I actually have looked forward to going there in the last couple of years." McIlroy was actually the last golfer to arrive at the event but aims to win it overall.
