The Democrats are ready to display what they have to offer to America with the 2012 Democratic National Convention (DNC) in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The first day's events starts today at 5 p.m. from the Time Warner Cable Arena, and the DNC are offering live streaming of the convention in both English and Spanish languages (see below).

The names of the speakers of the DNC have been released last week however times of the speakers were released this morning.

Some of the big names to see at the convention are First Lady Michelle Obama and the first Latino Keynote Speaker with San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro. Both are scheduled to speak during the 10 p.m. hour of today.

According to the Washington Post, Mrs. Obama's speech is to show a "human" side to her husband Barack. Perhaps similar to Ann Romney's approach to "humanize" and not make her husband Mitt Romney seem "stiff" or "cold," the First Lady is expected to show how well of a husband and leader he is.

Also in attendance will be Newark, New Jersey Mayor Corey Booker. It remains to be seen if Booker will deliver a similar performance to New Jersey Governor Chris Christie who delivered the keynote speech at last week's Republican National Convention.

Some musical performances will also take place, notably "Glee" actress Amber Riley singing the national anthem.
