A scheduling conflict between the One Direction concert and the Dallas Cowboy's pre-season games has triggered a lot of anger in the Cowboys' fans.
The 1D quintet's team apparently booked the AT&T Stadium a year early and happens to fall right smack in the middle of the five-time Super Bowl team's pre-season program. The concert is set to take place on August 24 at the 80,000 seater stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Speaking on the conflict between the musical group and the sports champtions, the SportsDay DFW reports:
Since the Cowboys conduct training camp in Oxnard, Calif., the team normally likes to play their first two pre-season games on the West Coast before breaking camp to return to Valley Ranch. That's not possible this season because One Direction will perform at AT&T Stadium on Aug. 24.
According to the Entertainment Wise, this is a major setback for the NFL team as now management has to decide whether to cut their training camp one week early or extend by a week or consider looking for another venue. Any move regarding the scheduling is estimated to cost the Cowboys approximately $11 million in ticket revenues.
Upon hearing the messed up schedule of the Cowboys, some very upset Dallas fans have taken to venting their frustration at the scheduling mishap over Twitter and they are quite upset with the European boyband. In their anger, some fans have threatened to "hunt the boys down' and ‘punch their smug little faces,' writes the Mirror UK.
The 1D tour begins on April 25 in Bogota, Columbia. The boys then head to South America, Europe and finally land in North America, where they close their tour on October 5 in Miami, Florida.
