A few hours before the shocking news broke out about his girlfriend, fashion designer L'Wren Scott, taking her own live, Sir Mick Jagger has published a final and emotive message for her girlfriend.

The legendary singer for The Rolling Stones, one of the most emblematic bands of the 20th century, shared a message on his Facebook account a message thanking everyone for the condolences and support he has received at this difficult time.

"I am still struggling to understand how my lover and best friend could end her life in this tragic way. We spent many wonderful years together and had made a great life for ourselves," wrote the singer on the social network on Tuesday.

This is the first time Mick Jagger has publicly spoken about his girlfriend, since it was revealed last Monday that she was found dead in her New York apartment.

70 year old Jagger shared a sentimental relationship with 29-year-old Scott since 2003, and during that entire time it was common to see the celebrity couple in fashion events and Rolling Stones performances, and so the designer's sudden death has deeply affected the English singer.

L'Wren Scott was found hanged from the threshold of the door to her apartment with a scarf around her neck, in what is presumably a suicide, according to an official report from the police, reported CNN.

The same source revealed that the Rolling Stones have already announced that they would suspend seven concerts in Australia and New Zealand after the designer's death.

Although for the moment there has been no official report on the reasons why Scott took her life, American media have launched various suppositions that point to financial reasons or even a breakup with the singer, rumors that were denied by Jagger himself who describing the rumors as "horrible and inaccurate", according to The Telegraph.
