"The Lego Movie" defeated the newcomers at the box office taking first place for the third straight weekend.

The Warner Bros. film made an outstanding $31.4 million and brought its total gross to $183 million. The film's word of mouth and the fact that kids were on winter vacation helped the film only decrease 36 percent from last weekend. The movie is now on the road to make $200 million by next weekend.

In second place "3 Days to Kill" brought in a mild $12 million. Relativity hoped that the Kevin Costner action piece would bring the same type of audience that Liam Neeson's hit "Taken" brought in. However, the movie struggled and should probably end its run with $30 million.

In third place "Pompei" bombed with an estimated $10 million. The $100 million budget film is the latest 3-D CGI-heavy film to fail at the box office. Previously "The Legend of Hercules" opened to $8.9 million; while "I, Frankenstein" brought in a measly $8.6 million. "Pompei" is likely to end its run with $25 million and will have to try and make up its budget on home video.

"Robocop" continued to fail and made $9.4 million. The movie also cost $100 million and has only made $43 million. The reboot film is unlikely to make back its budget and should end with $60 million.

"The Monuments Men" continued to hold well and bring in a strong audience. The film made $8 million and brought its total gross to $58 million. The George Clooney movie is likely to pass the $70 million at the end of its run.

"About Last Night" had one of the worst drops in the past few years. The movie was down 71 percent and only made $7.4 million. The film currently has a $38 million total and should its run with $50 million.

The Kevin Hart movie "Ride Along" and "Frozen" continued their success stories. "Ride Along" made $4.6 million and currently has made $123 million while "Frozen" took in $4.3 million and brought its gross to $384 million.

A pair of Valentine's Day films continued to underperform. "Endless Love" made $4 million and dropped 67 percent. The film has only made $20 million. The Alex Pettyfer movie is the latest film starring the actor to fail at the box office and making his bankability as a star even more question.

Meanwhile, Warner Bros.' "Winter's Tale" dropped 70 percent and made $2 million. The film was in 2,965 theaters and had a terrible $718 per theater average. The movie, budgeted at $60 million, has only made $11 million and should end its run with $15 million.

In art house theaters "The Wind Rises" took in $306,000 in 21 theaters. The film will expand to 450 theaters next weekend and should be helped by its Oscar nomination. The Oscar Isaac and Elizabeth Olsen drama "In Secret" underperformed in 266 theaters. The film opened to a disappointing $272,000 theaters. Roadside Attractions has no plan of expanding and after the opening, it is unlikely the film will remain in theaters very long.
