"Avengers: Age of Ultron" has set its eyes on global domination as its production crew heads to Italy to film scenes for the upcoming film. Badtaste.it reports that filming will take place at Fort Bard in Northern Italy.
But Fort Bard will not be the only Italian location for the movie as the nearby municipalities of Aostas, Donnas, Point-Saint-Martin, and Verres will also be featured in some of the scenes. According to another article in the site, an army of around 1,500 people are involved in the filming of the scenes. Among them are 500 people who were casted as background actors or extras.
Although no formal revelations have been made regarding the use of Fort Bard in the film, fans have speculated that since the historic landmark is a fortified structure, maybe it has something to do with Thomas Kretschmann' Baron Wolfgang von Strucker character.
It also seems Italy is not the only country that can include superhero sightings as part of its tourism campaign. ComicBookMovie.com reports that "Age of Ultron" scenes might also be filmed in South Korea. Although Mark "The Incredible Hulk" Ruffalo has previously said there are no plans to shoot in Korea "at the moment", a representative of the film said, "At least 10 to 15 minutes of 'The Avengers' sequel will take place in Gangnam and Gyeonggi-do. One of Korea's top production teams has already been chosen to work with the Hollywood film production crew."
The site also reported on rumors about the involvement of South Korean celebrities in the "Age of Utron" film. According to the report, five actresses are being considered to play a role in the film as a villain, namely, Kim So Yeon, Kim Min-hee, Han Go-eun, Han Ye-seul, and Kim Min-jung.
Filming of "Avengers: Age of Ultron" will begin in March of this year and is scheduled to hit theaters on May 1, 2015.
