New Zealand native singer, Lorde, criticized Selena Gomez for being anti-feminist late last year for her song, "Come and Get It." E! News quoted Lorde saying, "I'm a feminist and the theme of her song is, 'When you're ready, come and get it from me.' I'm sick of women being portrayed this way."

The 21-year-old Gomez, however, is above comments thrown her way.

Gossip Girl reports that during an interview with Sel on Seventeen Magazine, she said, "I recently did an interview and they asked me who I thought was up-and-coming and making a difference. I said, 'She doesn't like me, but Lorde.' I'm going to support her whether she likes me or not because I think she's doing great things."

After hearing what Lorde said about her last year, Selena decided not to cover "Royals" on her tour, saying at the time that the New Zealander is not supporting other women. "I appreciate everybody's opinion, especially because I've covered her music lots of times. But I think at the same time, that feminism and that specific thing is very sensitive."

She added, "On my opinion it's not feminism if you're tearing down another artist. So that's the only thing that I feel, but you know, she's young. She's got so much talent, she's gonna take over; she gets it, so I don't take it to heart."

"That's my honest opinion, that's what I would say to her if I saw her."

But the wheels have turned, and today, Selena seemed confident that she and Lorde are going to be okay. She told Seventeen, "I've never met her, but she's extremely talented, and she has a voice that she likes to use, and I think that's great. Someday I will see her and we'll be cool."

Others are a bit cautious about Selena playing nice, though. According to Crushable, Selena "learned the art of speaking between the lines when giving interviews. Or as it's better known in middle school circles, being a passive-aggressive bitch."
