Playboy's Cassandra Lynn Hensley was found dead last Wednesday in her friend's home in Los Angeles. TMZ reports that her friend found the Playmate unresponsive in a bath tub. The unnamed friend then called the police to report the incident.
The paramedics who first arrived at the scene could not revive her. Police officers ruled out the possibility of foul play, but suspect that Hensley may have died from drug overdose. Authorities also report that possible drug variants have yet to be identified in their investigation.
In an article on Daily Mail, the 34-year-old was residing in Fairfax, Virginia but recently posted on her Facebook account that she was heading to LA to visit her friend.
However, on her Twitter account, a rather disturbing post appeared a couple of days before her death. Since her account is automatically updated according to her horoscope, the latest post stated, "Unspoken obligations prevent you from doing what you wish today...no matter what you do now, you might not feel completely fulfilled. Working harder isn't the answer, but neither is escape."
Hensely was best known as Playboy's Miss February in 2006. Us Weekly reports that according to her bio in the men's magazine website, she was studying to be an aesthetician when she started modeling.
She then entered the Hawaiian Tropic contest and placed in the top twenty finalists. This motivated her even more to audition for Playboy.
As stated in her bio, being accepted as one of the Playmates is a dream come true for her.
In an interview with Metropolis Nights in December of last year, Hensely talked about her life after leaving the mansion. She said, "Yes, there is life after Playboy, I have been a part of many great experiences: travel shows, magazine covers, and of course giving advice to young impressionable girls who think they need to act a certain way for a chance to be a model."
