Jack Bauer is back and on the run.

Fox News reports that the reboot of '24', titled '24: Live Another Day' will premiere on May 5, Monday, at 9 pm. The revival of the real-time drama thriller will feature twelve episodes and will be kick-started by a 2-hour premiere episode.

In an article on E! Online, Kiefer Sutherland, who plays the one-man-army Jack Bauer in the series, will be joined Yvonne Strahovski from "Chuck". Similar to her Sarah Walker character on the series, Strahovski will play the role of CIA agent Kate Morgan in the 'Live Another Day' or LAD series.

The series is set in London where Bauer is on his heels to prevent a world-changing terrorist attack from happening.

In an interview with TV Line, executive producers of the show answered some big questions pertaining to LAD. But be warned, this interview contains spoilers.

According to the producers of the show, Chloe O'Brien, played by Mary Lynn Rajskub, will face off against Jack. After the events of Season 8, Chloe left the Counter Terrorist Unit. She has turned her back on the government and adopted a more radical perspective.

Manny Coto, one of the show's executive producers, adds that when the initial series ended, Bauer was portrayed as a fugitive on the run. Now, in the '24' revival, Coto states that, "Jack is not quite Osama Bin Laden, but he is someone to be captured. And when Jack reenters the story on his own terms, we will learn he has a new mission. But this CIA Agent is determined to catch him, and as she gets closer and closer to him, Chloe O'Brien reenters the picture."

'24: Live Another Day' will still follow the original 24-hour format. Also, those who haven't seen a single episode of the series can still enjoy the action-packed reboot. Since the story of LAD takes place four years later, the events that happened in between will be clarified for the audience. As Sutherland stated during the interview, "The benefit of coming back four years later is that those four years need to be explained, so the exposition will not come off as exposition but a justified moment of characters catching up."
