San Francisco added one more victory to its cap after scoring 13 more touchdowns than the Carolina Panthers at Sunday's NFL playoffs, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.
Colin Kaepernick managed to squeeze in 2 touchdowns to lead the 49ers into a win in a match against host Carolina, scoring 23-10 respectively.
Meanwhile, the Denver Broncos logged another victory Sunday night against visiting team San Diego, with scores settling at 24-17.
Like Kaepernick, Peyton Manning contributed 2 touchdowns to propel his team to a successful sporting campaign. The Broncos are now within one win from the Super Bowl.
Denver will soon be playing host to the New England Patriots in the next semi-final match, which is scheduled next Sunday. San Francisco will be paying Seattle a visit during that time as well, for the deciding match. The winners of both games will "meet in Super Bowl 48 on February 2 at suburban New York," said the news publication.
Regarding the 49ers upcoming face-off with the Seahawks, this was what quarterback Kaepernick declared, "We're a different team than we were the first time we played them up there. We have a lot of key playmakers back and we will be ready to go."
Manning and company's upcoming match is one to watch as its opponent is led by rival Tom Brady, whose NFL records the four-time MVP broke. The meeting will be "a battle of star quarterbacks for the American Conference crown."

"'It's the Broncos versus the Patriots. Tom and I have played against each other a lot but when you get to the conference championship it's about two good teams getting there," Manning observed.
ESPN has speculated on Manning's future in the sport, reporting talk from sources close to the quarterback that insinuated it "will be determined by the results of an offseason exam on his surgically repaired neck."
The said sources revealed that if his exam shows his neck is stable, the football star plans to "return to the Broncos in 2014, regardless of how Denver fares this postseason." Otherwise, Manning may "be forced" to consider retirement.
