The MTV series 'Teen Wolf' returns for the second half of its thrid season, with one of the show's scariest episodes ever and ending a five-month-long hiatus.

Tyler Posey, who plays Scott, said in an interview with E! News, that the new season will be slower, but creepier.

"We always try to amp up the darkness and the scary level on Teen Wolf...this one is a little more methodical and slower, which makes it that much more creepy," Posey explained, adding "there's not so much happening, it's not so confusing. It focuses on a few main things and that element alone makes it creepy, the slowness of it. It's definitely scary."

Crystal Reed, who plays Allison, added that "One of the characters that is really close to every single character in the show is at risk to lose their life and it's evident in every single episode midway to the end."

She continues that the second half of season 3 is "darker than any of the other seasons in that way. It's more about how do we save our friend's life. It's a really, really serious problem and it feels like at any second they could die."

The show also introduced a new talent in Arden Cho, who plays Kira, daughter of the new History teacher. She got into the loop with the gang when she revealed that she knew what has been happening with the trio.

In an interview with Just Jared, Cho reveals that she knows more than her character is letting on. She said, "Kira definitely has interest in a lot of the Asian mythology and is interested in what she hears the gang talking about, but she doesn't really know. She knows what she knows from reading books and doing research, but when it comes down to it, what the guys are going through, she has no idea. It's going to be very interesting and scary for her."

Teen Wolf Season 3 airs on MTV, Mondays at 10 p.m.
