Pop superstar Justin Bieber capped off  his world tour to make what he calls his "most important tour date", a trip to typhoon stricken Philippines. In a report from MSN.com, the Canadian idol visited a Tacloban Elementary School currently housing evacuees devastated by the onslaught of Typhoon Haiyan.

Bieber had flown in from Australia, who was admonished for his vandalism and one of his entourage carrying pot, direct to Tacloban. In a report from Access Hollywood, Bieber took a quick tour around the temporary living quarters and visited a learning area where 300 children were packed. He then moved to an outdoor area where he sang to the crowd in the school yard.

The singer posted on Twitter Monday night, "About to perform the last #believetour show. The real last one and the most important one of the tour. #GiveBackPhilippines."

He also rallied his Beliebers through his social media network to help show their support for the victims of the calamity, which claimed over 5,000 lives and devastated a once bustling city and its outlying areas.

While at the school, Bieber sang his hit song "Mistletoe" and then handed out books and toys to the children. In another school, he played pick up basketball with one of the children, all the time holding children and talking to fans.

He also tweeted, "Special show in the affected areas #pray4philippines. you've changed my life thank you..."

He also continued to encourage his fans to help out, posting"Help and get involved. I saw the devastation first hand today. They need our help"

As of late, he has raied over $600,000 that would go to charities such as UNICEF, Action Against Hunger and the Philam Foundation. He intends to raise $1 million according to the foundation, as reported on ABC News.

One fan said of the experience of meeting Justin Bieber, as relayed to a local news channel reported by Yahoo Music, "It was like we were not hit by the typhoon, like Yolanda never came."
