Updates about the fifth installment of one of the most successful movie franchises, Pirates of the Carribean, have been slim. That is, until now. According to screencrush.com, what has been known as one of the film's strengths - its ensemble of actors - will be replicated in the latest installment for the franchise.

This time the foil to Johnny Depp's Captain Jack Sparrow character is rumored to be two-time Oscar winner, Christoph Waltz. The actor has become royalty for his roles in Django Unchained and Inglorious Basterds.

Daily Mail UK exclusively reports that Waltz is looking into joining the cats for the fifth installment of the Pirates of the Carribean saga. However, no commitments have yet been made. Waltz, according to slashfilm.com, was said to be eyed to play Captain Brand in the film.

Another actor that has signed up for the film is Keith Richards, returing as Captain Teague. The Rolling Stones member would be reprising his role as Captain Jack Sparrow's father.

One source told Daily Mail UK, "After months of talks, Keith has signed to rejoin Johnny Depp in this fifth Pirates film. Cameras are scheduled to start rolling in October."

Other actors said to be casted are Rebecca Hall as Carina, the love interest of Captain Jack. According to indianexpress.comCarina is Captain Barbossa's daughter and is "a beautiful woman in her late 30s who is called a witch by some but really an adept astronomer."

Directing the movie are  Joachim Ronning and Espen Sandberg, with Jeff Nathanson as scriptwriter.

The plot of Pirates of the Carribean 5 was said to be the search for the Trident, which Captain Jack's father had valuable information. The main villain would be Captain Brand, a former military officer, who blames Captain Jack for turning Brand's brother Eric into a pirate and ultimately his untimely demise.

Bustle.com reported that the film would hit the cinemas by 2016.
