A poll revealed the names of the best-known Latino celebrities in the US include are actors, footballers, singers and journalists.

The poll carried out by Q Scores, shared by entertainment magazine The Hollywood Reporter, reflects the tendencies of Latino audiences regarding the Hispanic characters known in the United States.

According to La Tercera, the vice president of Q Scores, Henry Schafer, said that Latino audiences living in the United States are faithful followers of brands used by Hispanic celebrities in their commercials.

The list is based on the celebrity popularity and is headed by Mexican comedian Eugenio Derbez, who has kept the public's preference after his debut as a producer and star of the movie "Instructions Not Included" which broke box office records in the United States.

In second place is Argentinian footballer Lionel Messi, who is currently playing for the Barcelona football club of the Spanish League, while singer Juan Luis Guerra is in third place.

Mexican guitarist Carlos Santana is in fourth place. He is currently working on his new album "Corazón", the first single of which is a cover of Jarabe de Palo's "La Flaca", featuring Colombian singer Juanes.

The fifth position is occupied by soccer star Pelé, even though he doesn't speak Spanish, followed by Guatemala's Ricardo Arjona and Mexican journalist Jorge Ramos.

The eighth place is for Teresa Rodríguez, host of TV show "Aquí y Ahora", followed by Pablo "La Torre de Jalisco" Ramírez, sports commentator for Univisión.

The last place is occupied by Colombian singer Shakira, who has been using social networks to share her hobbies with her followers, but especially sharing information of her son Milan Piqué. The singer has allowed her fans to follow her son's growth owing to her sharing pictures since he was born up until his seven months of age.
