Olympic gold-medal winning Lindsey Vonn called her current boyfriend Tiger Woods "a dork" and "goofy" during an interview with Katie Couric.

Vonn, who announced her relationship with the world's top golfer earlier this year, talked about her romance with the sports star and the things she liked about Tiger, particularly his dorky and goofy character.

"He's very competitive just like me. We have very similar personalities. Vonn said during the interview "He's funny, laid back, a great guy, competitive, fun to be with, goofy, dorky-goofy.

The American skier admitted that her revelation about Woods might not excite her man at all, but Vonn still took the opportunity to show to the world how much she loved the golfer.

"He is probably not going to be that excited I just said that!," added Vonn, who is scheduled to compete in the upcoming Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.

No Tiger in Sochi

Woods, who came short from winning the Turkish Airline Open last week, is reportedly not going to be in Sochi next year to support his girlfriend in several skiing events.

According to FoxSports.com, Woods is set to play in the Accenture Match Play Championship in Arizona. Unfortunately, the event's date (February 19 to 23) coinciding with Vonn's competition in the slalom and giant slalom Olympic events, which are scheduled for February 18 to 21.

The conflict in schedule reportedly triggered a nasty argument between the couple and caused frustrations to Vonn, who has supported Woods in every Grand Slam tournament this year.

According to a source from the National Enquirer, Vonn is clearly upset about the situation as she asked Woods' moral support during the Winter Olympics.

"Lindsey told Tiger: 'I supported you this season. Now, it's your turn to support me in public. I'm not just your cheerleader - I'm a world-class athlete too!'" the source said.

Woods is still gunning for the 15th Grand Slam of his career after winning his last majors title at the 2008 U.S. Open. This year, Woods racked up five tournament victories and reclaimed the No.1 ranking in the PGA Tour, though he continued to struggle in majors.

Meanwhile, Vonn is coming off an ACL injury but she is expected to get back to action in December as she prepares to defend her downhill gold medal title and add more gold to her Olympic medals collection.
