When and Where to Vote:
Polls opened up at 6 a.m. today and will close 9 p.m. Voters must be registered before heading to the polling stations. To find your polling station, head over to the Online Poll Site Address Locator, call the Voter Phone Bank at 1.866.VOTE.NYC or email your complete home address to vote@boe.nyc.ny.us. Immigration Reform:
Most Republicans and Democrats can’t find common ground on major issues, but de Blasio and Lhota appear to share similar views on immigration reform. Based on their campaign websites, the two candidates are staunch supporters of immigration policy overhaul and both support establishing ID cards for the city’s undocumented. Pre-Election Poll Results:
The pre-election poll results show that Democrat Bill de Blasio is leagues ahead of his opponent Republican Joe Lhota. A poll released on Monday by Marist College for the Wall Street Journal and NBC 4 New York shows that de Blasio is up 41 percentage points. The Democrat finds himself with 65 percent support, while Lhota stands at 24 percent.
