The cast for the 25th season of Survivor will feature some familiar faces, from both Survivor-past and from other television spotlights.
The latest season of show will take the 18 castaways to the Philippines, with ages ranging from 20 to 49.
Two familiar faces include former baseball player Jeff Kent and The Facts of Life actress Lisa Welchel, who portrayed Blair Warner from 1979 to 1988.
Speaking to Zap2it, Whelchel insists she's not going into the show to revive her acting career, but simply is a "superfan" of the show and was "born to play."
"I'm really excited about people getting to know me," Whelchel said to Zap2it. "For so long they [just] knew Blair. I'm glad that Blair holds a soft spot in some people's lives, even if they didn't like her character. There's something about friends you made in childhood -- there's a special place. I love that, but I'm not Blair."
Like Whelchel, Kent wants to keep a low profile during the competition and hopes the younger contestants don't recognize their accomplishments.
Kent tells Entertainment Weekly, "I've got a chip on my shoulder. I hate to lose. You know, there are not many tall white guys with mustaches walking around still these days. I'm hoping my reputation's not big enough that these people know who I am."
The contestants on the show will be broken down to three tribes, and feature three former Survivor players from the past who previously left the show due to medical reasons hoping to get another chance to win the $1 million prize.
The 25th season will debut on Sept. 19 at 8 p.m. EST.
