Pokemon X and Y Lumiose City Saving Fix Patch Released, Includes Global Trade Station Update for Nintendo 3DS Games [Video]

Nintendo, following reports of a saving glitch in the "Pokémon X and Y" video games, has released a game-fixing patch.

As Latinos Post reported, gamers of the sixth-generation video games have spotted a glitch in Lumiose City when saving the game, notably when next to one of the blue taxicabs.

The glitch has so far occurred in Lumiose City and resulted in the gamer to force restart the game since controls are frozen.

Nintendo of Japan issued a comment of how a patch would be released over time.

The patch has finally arrived, now two weeks since "Pokémon X and Y" launch on Oct. 12 across Australia, Europe, Japan, and North America.

The patch can be found on the Nintendo eShop. For some gamers, the update will automatically appear when starting eShop on their Nintendo 3DS device.

Labeled as either "Pokémon X Update Ver. 1.1" or "Pokémon Y Update Ver. 1.1," depending on the version the gamer bought, "This update fixes a bug related to resuming your game after saving data in Lumiose City. It also improves the filtering feature within the Global Trade Station (GTS)."

According to The Pokémon Company, which launched the update, the patch is available in English, French, and Spanish.

If the update does not automatically appear, the gamer can insert a search for either "Pokémon X" or "Pokémon Y."

As Latinos Post reported, four million copes of the latest Pokémon games were sold during its first weekend launch. The sales of the Kalos-region-based games set a record for the Nintendo 3DS handset console.

"Pokémon X and Y" includes nearly 70 new Pokémon, Mega Evolution, and the Pokémon Amie feature, which is the method to evolve the latest Eevee evolution, Sylveon.

As a reminder, the games also feature the Torchic distribution event, which has been available since Oct. 12 and ends Jan. 15, 2014. Torchic will be available with the item "Blazikenite," which will transform Torchic's last evolution, Blaziken, into "MegaBlaziken." Wi-Fi connection is needed to obtain the Fire-type Hoenn starter Pokémon.
