Nokia announced the company's first 10.1-inch tablet with the Lumia 2520.

The full HD display Lumia 2520 tablet utilizes the Windows RT 8.1 operating system while being the first tablet to sport Carl Zeiss optics. The rear-facing camera of the Lumia 2520 has 6.7 megapixels while the front camera has 2 megapixels.

The 10.1-inch display of the Nokia Lumia tablet has 1,920x1,080 pixels with high brightness yet low reflectance for outdoor readability.

When it comes to memory, the Lumia 2520 sports 32GB for internal storage with 2GB of RAM. The tablet will have a microSD card slot for an additional 32GB of storage. SkyDrive cloud storage will also be included.

The Lumia 2520 is equipped with the 2.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 by Qualcomm. The wireless connectivity for the Lumia 2520 includes WLAN 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, and NFC.

The Lumia 2520 has 8,000mAh battery capacity for up to 25 days on standby over Wi-Fi and approximately 11 hours on video playback.

The Lumia 2520 will be available in black, cyan, red, and white.

The Lumia 2520 has an expected shipment date in the fourth quarter of 2013 for $499. The release of the Lumia 2520 will have an initial rollout in the U.S., U.K., and Finland. 

"[The Lumia 2520 is] a complete package," Nokia Product Manager Paul Bischof, via Nokia Conversations. "It takes everything you've got in your desktop or laptop and crams all that into a device that's only 8.9mm thick and weighs a little over a pound."
