Iran will look to reclaim the top spot in Group B when it takes on Thailand in the AFC Asian Cup 2015 qualifiers on Tuesday.

Iran currently sits in a tie with Kuwait for the top spot in Group B of the qualifiers. Iran got off to a terrific start in the tournament with a 5-0 win over Lebanon at home. Reza Ghoochannejhad scored two of the goals for Iran (in 26th and 62nd minutes) while Javad Nekounam added a hat trick in the 46th, 61st, and 80th minutes. However, the team's tremendous start was derailed by a 1-1 draw in Kuwait.

Thailand lost 3-1 against Kuwait in its first game at home. The second game was a 5-2 loss in Lebanon.

Iran and Thailand have faced off 12 times in their history. The Iranians have emerged victorious on eight occasions including four Asian Cup matches. The other four games have ended in draws. Eleven of the games between these two teams have been competitive matches; four of those games have been for FIFA World Cup qualifiers. The lone international friendly took place on Aug. 12, 1984; Iran won 5-0.

Prediction: Iran is a heavy favorite and should have no trouble defeating an otherwise weak Thailand group. Expect a massacre in this game similar to the one Iran put on Lebanon. Iran wins 5-0.

Start Time: Kick-off gets underway at 11:30 a.m. EST

The match will not be broadcast in the United States or online.
