Honduras and Costa Rica will face off in a key World Cup qualifying battle.

Costa Rica has already qualified for the tournament alongside the United States and has 15 points in eight games. Honduras sits in third place with 11 points and could potentially qualify if a number of scenarios play out. Honduras would need to win the game and pray for Mexico and Panama to draw in their match. Those two sides trail Honduras by a total of three points and the above scenario would leave Honduras with a five point cushion; Mexico and Panama only have one game remaining after Friday's tilt. A loss would put Honduras in range of either Mexico or Panama if either side won the match.

Costa Rica and Honduras faced off on June 7, 2013 in San Jose; Costa Rica won 1-0.
