Verizon customers will finally be able to join the ranks of T-Mobile, Sprint, and AT&T followers when the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 releases Thursday, Oct. 10.

The nation's largest wireless service provider confirmed the release date to GottaBeMobile, adding that the highly-anticipated phablet will be available for purchase both online and in brick-and-mortar stores. Verizon is selling the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 for $300 with a two-year contract, $0 down with monthly payments of $29 through Verizon's Edge program, or $700 flat with no other obligations.

Big Red also reportedly started shipping out pre-orders Oct. 8. Verizon launched it's pre-order program a while back, telling buyers that the device would "ship by" Oct. 10.

Verizon is the last of the big four wireless networks in the United States to release the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. T-Mobile kicked things off at the beginning of October and was followed by Sprint and AT&T soon after. All three carriers have generally released devices before Verizon, which tends to be the last carrier to roll out a new toy or software update.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is the latest in the line of Galaxy Note smartphones that started the phablet craze that's now gripped the Android market. Bigger became better, and the Galaxy Note 3 is the biggest and best of the Galaxy Notes.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 features a 5.7-inch 1080p Full HD display that's among the best in its class, and underneath the hood lies a monstrous 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and an Adreno 330 GPU capable of Open GL 3.0. The phone also comes equipped with 3GB RAM, 32GB internal memory, up to 64GB optional memory through a microSD slot, and a 3,200mAh battery. The Galaxy Note 3's rear-facing camera can take stills at 13 megapixels while the front shooter comes in at 2 megapixels. The Galaxy Note 3 supports LTE and Bluetooth 4.0, allowing it to take full advantage of Samsung's Galaxy Gear smartwatch. Both Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and the new S Pen electronic stylus come right out of the box.
