Finally, Jimmy Kimmel is in a rap feud!

The late night talk show host's wishes to engage in a rap feud were granted after rap superstar Kanye West viciously attacked him on Twitter in response to a segment that aired on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live! earlier this week. In the spoof, Kimmel mocks Kanye by using two young children to reenact West's recent interview with the BBC.

In the real BBC interview, the 36-year-old rap star boasts of being the biggest rock star on the planet and proclaims that he's gotten to a "point that Michael Jackson did not break."

Although Kimmel said his skit was meant to be "innocuous," it's clear that the hip hop star did not find it funny.

The "Yeezus" rapper launched a Twitter war against Kimmel that started Thursday night that lingered into Friday.

"Jimmy Kimmel is out of line to try and spoof in any way the first piece of honest media in years," West tweeted in capital letters. "I don't take it as a joke ... You don't have scum bags hopping over fences trying to take pictures of your daughter. Jimmy Kimmel, put yourself in my shoes."

Besides insulting Kimmel's looks, Kim Kardashian's boyfriend delivered a low blow comparing Kimmel to his ex-girlfriend Sarah Silverman.

"SARAH SILVERMAN IS A THOUSAND TIMES FUNNIER THAN YOU AND THE WHOLE WORLD KNOWS IT!!!" West tweeted.

Kimmel tweeted back: "one more of these I WILL unfollow you."

The comedian addressed the social media attack on his show Thursday night in his opening monologue.

"It's been a weird -- quick question, did anyone else get a very angry phone call from Kanye West about an hour and a half ago?" Kimmel said.

"Kanye West called me about an hour - hour and a half ago in my office. He is very angry because of a bit we aired this week. He gave an interview to the BBC - and we had a kid actor -take the words and reenact it. "

"He said a lot of things, Kimmel explained to his audience. "He told me I had two choices - #1 Apologize publicly. And that was really the only choice - the other choice he gave was "my life...your life is going to be much better if I apologize."

"And then he started tweeting today. And I don't even know if I've seen some of these because they're happening as we speak," he added.

Kimmel goes on to read ome of the tweets as he tries to gives a sarcastic quip explaining each one.

"Finally, I'm in a rap feud. I always wanted to be in a rap feud," the comedian joked. "Right now we're at DefKanye Five."
