In time for the launch of "Pokémon X and Y," a new promo for the sixth-generation's anime season premiered in Japan.
A two-minute preview of the "Pokémon the Series: XY" season made its Japanese debut featuring characters and new Pokémon in the Kalos region.
Traveling from the Kanto region is Ash Ketchum and Pikachu, and the new sights in Kalos confront the two.

Familiar figures will make their return in the latest anime season such as Team Rocket Boss Giovanni and grunts Jessie, James, Meowth, and the return of Wobbuffet. Officer Jenny and Nurse Joy will continue to make their presence in the new region and with a different appearance.
The preview also shows Ketchum's new traveling friends. As Latinos Post reported, Kalos Gym Leader Clemont and his little sister Bonnie will accompany Ketchum in his latest travels. Furthermore, Serena, who is the female protagonist in the "Pokémon X and Y" video games, will tag along. It is unknown what Serena's role will be, such as if she's a Pokémon trainer or chasing a different goal.
The two-minute trailer showcases new Kalos Pokémon such as Meowstic, Helioptile, Fletchling, Chespin, Fennekin, Froakie, Dedenne, Inkay, and Bunnelby, to name a few.

In regards to U.S. viewers, The Pokémon Company International announced a two-episode preview will air on Cartoon Network on Oct. 19 following the latest film "Pokémon the Movie: Genesect and the Legend Awakened," featuring Mewtwo and its new form - Mega Mewtwo Y.
The "Pokémon X" and "Pokémon Y" video games will be released in Australia, Europe, Japan, and North America on Oct. 12 for the Nintendo 3DS and the new announced Nintendo 2DS. The games have a suggested retail price of $39.99, each.
