J.J Abrams has responded to the Benedict Cumberbatch casting rumors for "Star Wars: Episode VII."

During a quiz with Yvonne Villarreal from the LA Times, Abrams neither confirmed nor denied the rumors. Instead he said, "I love that guy."

The reporter later posted on Twitter that Abrams said that they were working on the cast for the film. Abrams reportedly said, "We're working our [expletive] off trying to get things in place w/ casting."

Cumberbatch has already denied the rumors. During a press conference in Toronto he said, "No offer. It's all rumor and it's all gossip. No one's been offered other than the people we know who've been offered. Would I like to do it? I've said many times before ... I've worked with J.J. before, and he knows where I live."

However, a week ago Latino review said that Cumberbatch was lying and trying to hide his casting in the film. "DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE ABOUT BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH NOT BEING IN STAR WARS. HE IS IN THE MOVIE! In fact, he will be in all three Star Wars films! It's all a smoke screen. Folks, remember when Cumberbatch denied being Khan for over a year? Same situation here. At least give us the benefit of the doubt hence why we are bringing this up. Point is, he lied before and he can lie again. Google it. One more time because it is worth repeating, Benedict Cumberbatch will be in the upcoming Star Wars movies," wrote Latino Review.

"Star Wars: Episode VII" is currently in pre-production with Abrams slated to direct, while Kathleen Kennedy will produce the film. Disney will release the movie in 2015 with production slated to commence at the beginning of 2014.
