'True Blood' Season 7 Spoilers: Bailey Noble Upped to Series Regular, Series Creators Comment on Show's Final Season

A "True Blood" character is permanently joining the supernatural residents of Bon Temps. 

Bailey Noble, who plays half-faerie Adilyn Bellefleur, was upped from recurring character to series regular for the show's seventh season, The Hollywood Reporter confirms. The actress joined the show last season as the daughter of faerie Maurella (Kristina Anapau) and Andy Bellefleur (Chris Bauer). Her character had three other sisters last season, but is now the only sibling left after her sisters were killed by a vampire. 

Noble has appeared in "Malibu Country" and the revival of "90210." She is repped by CESD and Principato Young Entertainment. 

Noble will become a permanent member of the cast for what is now known to be the show's final season. It was announced in early September that the vampire drama will end with the 10-episode seventh season, which will air in the summer of 2014. 

The drama based on Charlaine Harris' books is HBO's third-most-watched original series ever, after The Sporanos and Game of Thrones. The sixth season opener had 4.5 million viewers, which, though impressive, was down by about 700,000. 

After season six's finale, which concluded with an alliance between vampires and humans against the Hep-V infected vamps, showrunner Brian Buckner said that he thought the series had "one or two more great years" left. Now it is known that the show will only enjoy one more year on the premium cable channel. 

"True Blood has been nothing short of a defining show for HBO," said HBO president of programming Michael Lombardo in a statement. 

"Together with its legions of fans, it will be hard to say goodbye to the residents of Bon Temps, but I look forward to what promises to be a fantastic final chapter of this incredible show," Lombardo continued. 

Buckner said, "I feel enormously proud to have been a part of the "True Blood" family since the very beginning. I guarantee that there's not a more talented or harder-working cast and crew out there, and I'd like to extend a personal heartfelt thanks to them for their dedication and tenacity over the years, especially this past year, as I stepped into a larger role. Thank you also to HBO for their unwavering support and of course to Alan Ball, whose genius enabled all of us to share in this incredible journey. Finally, a huge thank you to the most passionate fans in television. As we take a final walk through Bon Temps together, we will do our very best to bring Sookie's story to a close with heart, imagination and, of course, fun."

A specific premiere date for the seventh season has not yet been announced.
