While Apple is set to rollout the new iOS 7 on Sept. 18, the Cupertino-based organization is reportedly already working on the next update to its mobile operating system.

According to 9to5Mac, web analytics have claimed Apple employees are testing iOS 7.0.1, iOS 7.0.2 and iOS 7.1.

"While we cannot absolutely confirm that these tests are occurring inside Apple, it seems likely based on the cities in which these operating systems are being tested," reported 9to5Mac's Mark Gurman.

The cities that have been detected to test the iOS 7 updates are located in Apple's headquarters of Cupertino, Calif. and nearby areas such as Santa Clara, San Francisco and Palo Alto, to name a few.

iOS 7.0.1 and iOS 7.0.2 could feature bug fixes and improvements found from the launch of iOS 7. Based on previous iOS updates by Apple, iOS 7.1 might include new hardware support as well as usual bug fixes.

The first iOS 7 rollout will start Sept. 18, two days before the release date of the iPhone 5c and iPhone 5s.

iOS 7 will be available, for free, for the iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5C, iPhone 5S, iPad 2, iPad 3, iPad 4, iPad mini and the fifth generation of the iPod touch. According to Apple, the new mobile operating system will initially include English, French and German language iterations. Additional languages will rollout over time.

iOS 7 will also feature improvements to the Control Center, Notification Center, AirDrop, Photos, Safari, and the introduction of iTunes Radio and male voice for Siri.

"iOS 7 is completely redesigned with an entirely new user interface and over 200 new features, so it's like getting a brand new device, but one that will still be instantly familiar to our users," said Apple's Senior Vice President of Software Engineering Craig Federigh in a statement. "Next month we'll be shipping our 700 millionth iOS device, and we're excited about what our hundreds of thousands of iOS developers are doing to bring great new features to their apps."
